Foundation of National Stability: The Country Should Be Ruled in Line with the Constitution

On November 7th,2014, Intermediate People's Court of Kunming, Yunnan Province held a Constitution Oath-taking Ceremony for ten judges appointed by the National People's Congress of Kunming. With constitution in their hands, the judges raised their right hands and took an oath in front of the national emblem. The Constitution Oath-taking Ceremony symbolizes the authority of the Constitution. The Constitution is the fundamental law of the country and it is the general regulations for administering state affairs well and ensuring national security. The Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC points out clearly and definitely that to realize the rule of law, the country should be ruled in line with the Constitution, which confirms the central position of the Constitution in the rule of law and clarifies the significant role played by the Constitution in the rule of law. Simply put, the Constitution is indispensible in comprehensively advancing the rule of law and in accelerating the building of a socialist country under the rule of law.
