画面上,曹植那痴情凝视、怅然若失的表情,宓妃那含情脉脉、回眸盼睐的神意,“怅盘桓而不能去”的情绪氛围,“吾将归乎东路”的悲怆心境,以及所配置的一切景物,如山石、树木、水浪、舟车、马匹、鸟兽、器具等等,无不彼此应对,相互生色,恰如其分地再现了原赋的情节内容,其写实意识和技巧都是显明而突出的。

《十七帖》为唐太宗李世民购集王羲之以草书体写的信札墨迹,因起首是“十七”二字而得名。观赏全帖,只见字字独立,互不牵连,然又上下俯仰,左右顾盼,气韵淋漓,生趣贯注。点画之间,似有一种深长难状的无尽意味在流溢、在涌动,素有“一笔书”之称。

身形是一种瘦长、清秀状,但脸型面相却开始渐趋丰颐。不过这丰圆型跟第一阶段的圆胖又有不同,是圆而微长,丰而不胖。在身量体态上,还显出逐渐增高加大的趋势。
